The purpose of this blog is to begin a discussion regarding how we can improve early care and education (ECE) programs through a key indicator/predictive analytic model.   I have spent my professional and academic career on this quest.  I would like to expand feedback and thought this RIKI Blog might be an excellent way for doing this.

To get started I want to share the URL for the RIKI website which contains the most recent sampling of my papers and presentations (RIKI Institute).

We are at a particular point in measuring ECE quality where it is much more sophisticated then when I started in ECE back in the late 60's/early 70's.  Back then the major research question was would ECE harm children.  Now, we are more concerned with the specific aspects of the environment or what standards have the greatest impact on a child's development.
